L.A. Hard Rockers FIREBALL MINISTRY Sign To NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS
June 12, 2003Los Angeles-based heavy hitters FIREBALL MINISTRY have signed an exclusive worldwide contract with Nuclear Blast Records. Alumni of MTV's "You Hear It First" program, the band made the news official by announcing it on last week's edition of MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball". MTV's resident hard rock supporter Iann Robinson had this to say about FIREBALL MINISTRY: "As the idea of rock heroes keep fading into the background, along comes FIREBALL MINISTRY to pump life back into it. No bitching, no politics, just a party, fueled by the amazing music they create and James A. Rota's powerhouse vocals. If I do one thing right at MTV, it'll be to make FIREBALL MINISTRY the biggest band in the world."
With two prior releases under their belt, "Oui Est La Rock?" (Bongload Records) and "FMEP" (Small Stone Records),FIREBALL MINISTRY are once again prepared to spread their newest message of hard rock and heavy metal to the congregated masses. FM combine the massive rock and roll thunder of GRAND FUNK RAILROAD with the classic heavy metal crunch of bands like BLACK SABBATH and JUDAS PRIEST providing sonic deliverance for today's pure rock-starved audiences.
Their Nuclear Blast debut, "The Second Great Awakening", was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, MARILYN MANSON, VELVET REVOLVER, DANZIG) and is tentatively scheduled for a late September release. The album will also feature exclusive album artwork created by cult comic artist Dan Brebreton of "Nocturnals" fame and will include the songs "Master Of None", "Flatline" and "The Sinner", among others.
